Gonna swap out an infantry in Egypt with an artillery, otherwise we are playing with +49 😀
That was my intended bid but I accidentally put an infantry there.

Nice try 😏
You’re trying to get 51 out of me
I double checked your bid at the time
3 fighters + tac = 41
3 infantry = 9
41 + 9 = 50

Man, you are right. I failed a basic math calculation. I was confused because in another game I was playing with an artillery in Egypt, but in that game I was also playing with 4 russian fighters instead of 3 fighters and a tactical…
Somehow I miss another notification. Came to check, I see you’re waiting on me
@gamerman01 Strange, do you watch this topic and do you have notifications for posts in watched topics enabled?
Yes, I normally get notifications for all topics I’m in, but it’s not rare that I miss posts. I do not click on live items and then not follow up, so usually I catch them when I realize I haven’t seen a post from an opponent for awhile.
So what’s your decision? Scramble the aircraft in the Taranto Raid battle?
This is always a tough call and game winning sometimes.
It is curious that you left a fighter on Malta, so you are inviting a scramble.
Let me know if you don’t want me sharing some thoughts as we go along.
All things considered, I do not want to scramble here, thanks!
@VictoryFirst I was working on it!!! 98% done computing when I posted the previous
I wish I’d have seen the post 2 days ago, I’m eager to play
You’ve played little to no G40 against others? So you probably would appreciate a little commentary?

Did I?!!! I am stupid!!! That was not my intention, that Malta fighter should definitely take part in the battle.
@gamerman01 Yeah sure, commentary is greatly appreciated. This is a learning game for me after all.
Sorry for that mistake, I missed it didn’t take part.
Add it, then, I didn’t scramble anyway

Wow, is it such an important decision? I usually scramble just to try to take out some British aircraft, however in my opinion both options are equal and up to the Axis player’s preference.
@VictoryFirst Definitely. I stand behind that statement. We just had a playoff game last month where the Axis player had bottom 4% on Paris, poor J1 dice, and then won the 97 battle pretty big. Although he is one of our 2 best players and was playing the 8 seed, our 8 seed resigned right there.
It is definitely great to take out 2 Italian planes and a German one that helps Russia so much, but that is assuming it goes OK. It is an extremely volatile battle that can win it either way. If the Axis survive with a transport and a plane or two, that is devastating especially if they turn it into a pretty quick Egypt capture. And of course, if the Allies win the battle with almost all ships left over after killing 3 planes, the Axis have trouble cleaning it up, and if the Germans lose a lot of planes doing it…
You probably now get the picture
Many players, it seems will never scramble because they want to have control over what happens on their turn, not at the mercy of defensive dice.
I, on the other hand, have always been more of a scrambler on G1 to 110 to take out 2 or more German planes, and often on UK1 or else have a big UK fleet sitting in 97. But in our situation where I skipped 110 (unthinkable to most players) I have the airforce intact so I can clean it up without much risk
