  • @Stucifer I am screwed again. Little by little, the difference is 100 income, unbelievable. Japanese are not able to handle with the little fires all around them - Chinese, British, Australians, not to mention Americans in the Pacific where I don’t even know where to look at. It is impossible (for me at least) to notice all the dangers, let alone do anything about it.

  • @nikola1975 I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever taken India in a game of PtV. You have a good chance here. However it will take some time to reposition the fleet to secure the home islands.

    Getting American air power into India is always rough as Japan, they can strafe those lone infantry and beef up China’s income/ground forces so fast. Not getting a single counter hit either time (I was willing to lose 2 fighters) hurts. I felt there were a couple times not having an airbase/harbor in FiC hurt you, that’s usually a fairly early purchase for me. The airbase is especially good for trading Yunnan. It makes it very costly for China.

    You did a good job of pivoting from Wake back down to the DEI. I think round 7 when you moved away from Gilberts to Carolines and stacked some in 7, it would have been better to have those ships & planes in Carolines than in 7. That was the key mistake that allowed my US fleet to get to Queensland. Eventually cost you Malaya and the DEI for a couple rounds.

    I’d have to replay the tape on the Soviet front, certainly buying a lot of navy as Germany hurts their offensive against the Reds.

    Japan is super hard to play. I chat regularly with Mikawagunichi , Avandoo and Daraas (currently in the finals) and none of them want to take Axis at less than 12-14 because of how well the KJF and Allied Med strategies work.
