Sorry, I slightly changed ANZAC moves again:
SbY (Al) vs CdS (Ax) Europe 1940 2nd

I concede. I now understand why people love Black Skies. More effective as an American strategic bomber strategy I developed myself (I never looked at the Green Skies strategies on this forum, so I’m not sure how similar it is).

AI is not representative of how this game would have gone. I already had plans to take out UK in the next couple of rounds. Plus the AI in triplea isnt as strong as I would like it to be, it makes rather strange decissions.
But I really believe that you can defend against this so called ‘Black Skies’ or ‘Green Skies’

We can do another rematch, Ill play Axis again and will try to show you another strategy of mine.
-
Really? How?
About my version of Green Skies: The Axis eventually won, but it was quite close. It was a Global 1940 Game and Japan was defeated just as Germany reached Egypt. There was a good possibility of Germany eventually being defeated were it not for victory conditions.
-
Thats Global 40, I also play that, but that has been a while. Thats why I am restarting with Europe to get better again (in all aspects of the game).
Lets try a new game of Europe, Ill be Axis again. You can try the green skies!

Do you have the map of that game still?! I would like to have a look at that if you dont mind.

Personally speaking, my Green Skies seems to work better with Japan, where they’re more cost effective (strategic bombers are generally much more useful in naval warfare). That’s probably a major reason why Japan was defeated first. The neutralize Germany you would need land units, which I tried (and failed) to do here.
The game (keep in mind I played against myseolf):

Well if you decide upfront that you do total world victory, instead of the victory conditions, you are indeed able to turn the tight of war in Europe. But I still believe that you can defend against the Green Skies, perphaps after a few more Europe games, Ill try a Global vs you.

I should’ve wrote “myself”, not “myseolf”.

Sorry for coming back to this thread, but I wanted to add that it definitely helps when the US has the Heavy Bombers research ability (I know it’s Oztea’s 1941 setup, but I find it still follows Global 1940 dynamics in the large scale):
