We English love our Army cuts and thug looks.I’m sure the English appreciate your little island of Italian culinary delight in the sea of dull English fare. That must also be why spicy Indian food is, as I hear, so popular.

@FMErwinRommel Alice changes the menu seasonally, usually 6 menus a year, therefore.
A Summer started 3 weeks ago .
Since Covid, we have stopped doing “meat”
dishes, ones served with potatoes and vegetables. We haven’t needed to do them again , as we are full most nights , without the added work that entails.
Alice world 50-60 hours most weeks , just for us to be open 5 evenings .
The menu is mostly based on foods we can procure locally and a low , as they are in season, prices .
We don’t put strawberries on a Winter menu, like many other places do, for example. -

@FMErwinRommel no. She should have gone to university. She attained 8 A grades , 5 with a Star , at aged 16 and was studying her A levels (entry to uni), when she came at 16 to wash up at my dad’s restaurant. She stayed on , fell in love with me and didn’t go to university, when she was 18.
