@Arthur-Bomber-Harris its going to take me a little while to figure out this move. So we have some time. I’ve gotten the convoy rolls already but not hte combat from the Japan turn. I expect that over the next day we should see more rolls come in so hopefully those come in too. If we don’t see rolls for Philippines than I think its best to roll it in the dice roller here.
If you definitively remembered the rolling happen, I would just leave it, but the summary text seems to suggest a glitch.

If you want to do it on the forum, lose an infantry first and then a plane if I take a second casualty.

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris I’ll wait to see if it comes up in teh dice first. I won’t be able to decide on my turn in any case. Hopefully tomorrow morning we will see. I don’t want to roll here if it is moot.

If I understand the battle mechanics, there was zero downsides of the sub staying and fighting on turn 1. No chance it would be sunk.

low chance. But if I hit with my sub and with air you have to lose your sub to my sub. You can’t take the destroyer as casualty first from the sub so that your sub can’t be hit.

I’m probably fine doing that as well. if you are comfortable with the rest of the rolls. My sub missed, my air hit and your destroyer hit.
If I’m right on the mechanics we probably need to do a complete reroll since you need to make the decision on your sub without knowing whether it was hit. But if you are right than it is just a free 1/6 roll and so we can just do the one die.

@farmboy I checked through the mechanics and I had no chance of losing that sub even if all of your units hit.
Please roll its dice. I assume that you had a plane hit on turn 1?

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris I’ve asked about it because I have a recollection being told that one has to take a sub hit on a sub so that air can hit the other units in situations where both the sub and air have hit. But this is easy to correct after and its a minor and potentially moot issue so will do the roll below.
