    @barnee Hmm, I just realized something went wrong. The Moscow apparently turned into a Minor Factory after you captured it, which I didn’t realize until now. That’s why the damage suddenly turned to 6, which I found strange. I assume upon recapture, the old damage of 8 is restored? Or is the new damage kept?

    If the damage goes back to 8, I have to change my buy so that I can repair more. If not, then my turn is correct.

    yea it’s oob for Damaged fctry capture. It goes to a minor on capture and since it had 8 damage that’s more than max of 6 for minor.

    @barnee Hehe no worries :) I understand the confusion, as it might look like the increased IPC values for the islands count as a sort of bonus. But they actually replace the original IPC values, without changing a nation’s starting income.

    That’s also why Japan can have less income than its capital territory. Their starting islands are worth nothing to them, but once they are captured, they reduce Japan’s income and increase the conqueror’s income.

    Lol I also learned a new rule. That France is included when tallying the total Allied income level. I find that counter-intuitive because their capital is captured so they don’t generate any income at all, but apparently, it is still included.

    So that means the Allied total IPC value is not 187, but 194 due to the extra 7 IPCs from the French… so this game has now ended in an Allied Economic Victory!

    Yeah the capture of Moscow was less lethal than I thought. You really needed to roll super well, so that you could take it with enough stuff so that I couldn’t recapture.

    I think the frequent poor dice for Japan played a big role in the defeat of the Axis. Like that +10 and +6 for the Americans was just insane. I believe you still had a way to come back after that defeat in SZ 6. If you spent that turn all money on navy and bought 4 DD and 2 CA, instead of just 2 CA, I would only have had a 30% for my second attack on SZ 6, which I would probably not have done. Then a considerable part of your navy would survive, and then I am not so sure the game would end in an Allied victory. The Allies would be caught up with Japan for several more rounds, which means Germany would have all the opportunity to make a big attack against the Russians.

    Yeah this is my first victory! I REALLY enjoyed this game! It’s just indescribable in words how cool of an experience it is to play this game. The “dopamine hit” when playing is unmatched by any other version of A&A. Each theater has been a tense fight. Egypt and the Middle East have been under pressure during the whole game. I’ve been constantly scratching my head about what best to do with the Russians, to slow down the Germans as much as possible, and also to be sure Moscow doesn’t fall. At some point, I had a dilemma with the US whether to continue the pressure against Japan or take it down a bit and start dealing with the U-boat threat, which is always a very tough decision. And during the Moscow battle, I was sweating!

    Thank you very much for playing, and I am looking forward to the rematch :)

    Yea, I missed that early sz6 attack. Missed it in my test and after I did it too. So that was a legit battle win for you. Theres nothing different that oob woulda done. i just missed it :)

    I almost kept my whole Fleet in 6, but wanted to get some more dudes mainland. Totally missed it. :)

    Still thought I could recover. Probably, shoulda did the initial russia counterattack and get the Far East TTys. Then pivot back to china.

    Idk.

    I do know it was a most enjoyable game :)
