Ah. I hadn’t understood that subtlety. It’s a bit like assuming that, as an attacker, I’m going to win - so, retreat isn’t an option. Thanks a lot for your help.
But, can you move a fighter in non-combat to a territory which borders a seazone with a newly built carrier and have it land on said carrier? I’m guessing not.
You’re guessing correctly. The fighter must end its movement in the sea zone in order to land on the carrier.
The one involving Archangel says there must be “no other Allied forces…”
This is probably a stupid question, but does that include AA guns? I’m so used to retreating the British gun to Caucasus and now I may have knocked out 5 of my own IPC’s by doing so. :x
That is an Allied force (a UK AAA).
This is covered in the errata thread, btw, I believe.
the way to get the I.P.C. back is to retreat from a captured capital, let the player re-capture their capital and attack at the next round with all the I.P.C. that was captured
Thanks, that was what I thought too. The thing that threw me for a loop was that I downloaded TripleA and it doesn’t look like they allow that sort of move, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t playing it wrong all these years! :-)
