@mike64 I had edited that tank out of Denmark on Japan’s turn, but it’s back in Denmark. When I do Germany I’m going to edit back to W Germany.

so it looks like just my two helicopters will return fire [dice 2d8]

I mucked up the order of ops but I got it figured out now. Here it is:
Since the opening salvo was two retreats and since it could be “foot or mech” as the first target for casualty selection, then the most ideal first casualty would be against the infantry to break up the combined arms… the next retreat had to be an ‘air’ unit so that would naturally go to a bomber…
Next, the invaders scored a ‘kill’ with their infantry and that would be assigned to my infantry but since he retreated, that kill goes to the hovertank…
So with all that in mind, I will keep the helicopter rolls (and select your hovertank as the casualty) and just roll for one more bomber before moving to my remaining hovertank…

@kwaspek104 I forgot that one of the helicopter rolls was a retreat and I would select one of your infantry for that roll as I am trying to kill the other mech unit…
here is the final roll, the hover tank [dice 1d8]

USA2 mid combat.tsvg I had your eastern infantry retreat south as I believe that is the only legitimate space it could run off to.
