    More trouble with Edit Mode making sure the London->Belgium move goes correctly. I forgot to swap out the guy in Livonia before I ended Combat Movement, but at least now I have a partial answer to my question from before- when I swapped the UK for True Neutral Infantry and then clicked the button for the Livonia fight, it did something and then exited out without me needing to click anything, so that worked out. But still an open question I guess what would have happened if I still had BBs that needed to fire. I knew after I completed the R5 French turn I probably should have moved to Picardy instead of Burgundy… but that’s part of why my men call me “The Butcher” ;).

    My apologies, I messed things up because I was just clicking mindlessly through the GUI and not paying enough attention to what was happening. I allowed a bombard on Belgium, and since the BB scored a hit, the game engine cancelled the rolls for the rest of the UK troops, so I have no way to know if my other forces there would have all missed and you could have survived if everything happened properly. I had to load an autosave to get my units to roll and I took off the hit scored by your defender in the prior rolling for that battle.

    Sadly (for me, YMMV) we’re now in the part of the game that I find least enjoyable (for many A&A games in general, not this particular session with you).

    Once the mid-game hits, most of the action at the periphery has resolved and our overall end-game strategies are probably locked in. At this stage I get frustrated sitting back watching my opponent make unblockable moves, and just quietly building up until I have a massive preponderance somewhere is the most boring section of the game for me.
