I do in fact. Hitched hiked across Texas with an Aussie years ago, ended up bumming around San Antonio with 2 other aussies we met at the hostel for a few days. Loads of fun.

@mainah They are the best. I was lucky enough to be an exchange student in Geelong (near Melbourne) with a sister university. Spent a year really enjoying how Aussies view the world, how they interact, and destroying my liver! @mainah Got a chance to really look at the board today. This is a close one. Japan is a beast! Italy is strong, and Germany is still very, very strong. Pretty awesome game all around. Still really like the GIB gambit.

I’d feel better if I hadn’t lost the Kriegsmarine, at least not so cheaply. I think Russia has the edge on the eastern front - Italy is big but seems to have stagnated a bit. She is holding her own, but that’s about it. Nice that she is at least not a liability.Japan is the bright spot, for the Axis.
You are playing your position well. I think overall the board is tilted in your direction. But not so much I’d wager anything on the game.

Russia is big defensively, but not much of an offensive threat yet, and poor UK needs more money to really crack Europe (G or I). But, feel that the tide has ebbed, except for Japan. Need to focus the US on Japan this round.

I seemed to be getting hit hard with the UK or ANZAC air landing on US carriers lately. I just dont see it coming.
Need to slow down and take the time to really play that stuff out before I move.

Second, I haven’t really done too much of having allied air on US carriers as it reduces a few options, but it does open up others. I really didn’t have much of a choice in this game. Really do enjoy this variant as this game is not terribly similar to any other I’ve played. Very challenging.
I think a single player as the allies makes for a very strong allied side in general. Having separate players reduces the carrier swap types of options. Especially face to face. It seems for the allies to win, they must work fairly seamlessly. IMO.

Second, I haven’t really done too much of having allied air on US carriers as it reduces a few options, but it does open up others. I really didn’t have much of a choice in this game. Really do enjoy this variant as this game is not terribly similar to any other I’ve played. Very challenging.
I think a single player as the allies makes for a very strong allied side in general. Having separate players reduces the carrier swap types of options. Especially face to face. It seems for the allies to win, they must work fairly seamlessly. IMO.

Path 2 Victory. I do like it. Major changes are islands are between sea zones in stead of being surrounding by one, carriers can scramble to adjacent battles, some cost changes, some attack/defense and bonus changes, very different NO’s and a major change in territories in china and Russia. There has not been a fast win gambit developed as yet because of the territory changes - it’s a longer game by design.
