I grew up in Worthington playing aa with friends and nowadays live in Grove City where I mostly play against myself. When my buddy’s and I do get together (rarely) we talk of all the newer versions, rules, country’s, etc., and although the newer versions are available options for us, we just play the original version. So if you are still playing and or looking to play again, hit me up and hopefully we can get a game in! I’ve been on this site since early 2000s and I can’t believe I never utilized the player locator before. I’ll see an email to you too 🤓
Any Devon or SouthWest England players?
-
Hi
Are any players in the South West interested in face to face games?
Thanks -
Hi @Spirally
Welcome to the site :) @Private-Panic is somewhere in England. i think Derbyshire ? @Witt somewhere too. Idk not familiar with where places are in England. Unless it was London or some ufo show lol
What games do you like to play ?
-
-
@Witt the days in Derbyshire are fun and you ought be able to br put up by someone in thr village . It is worth asking.
I will inform Adam of this thread . -
Thanks for the reply.
Derbyshire is a way North of me (about 4 hours each way). But far from impossible.
I’ve played most versions except Zombies and Guadacanal. Fave is anniversary - I played with some players from this site about a decade ago, it was a long game but sooo good.
Regards

Thanks for the reply.
An invite to the Derbyshire game would be fab.Its a fair way from Devon, but I’ve family in South Yorkshire – so that would be an hour away.
Thanks for reaching out to Adam.

That bid good news.
Will text Adam in thr morning, if he doesn’t see this thread for himself. -
@Spirally Sorry for the tardy reply but I was away for a few days. My thanks to @Witt and @barnee for their replies during my absence.
I do keep a list of those UK players I spot visiting this forum, so here is a list of those that I know are (or were) in the SW or thereabouts.
@manners84 Bristol
@wizmark South Coast somewhere
@poorstudent28 DevonI have no idea whether these gentlemen still visit the forum.
With regard to the Battle of Britain, our quarterly A&A event in Derbyshire: you are certainly invited. Dates are published in the Events forum, so keep an eye of that. We usually get 8 to 12 players, meaning anything up to 3 games being played.
Our next event is on 28 January. Theoretically the attendance list is now closed for that. As we only have 5 players this time I have moved venue to a location that can only accommodate 1 game, meaning that a sixth player would be problematic.
The next event is likely to be in April or May. I will publish the date soon after 28 January.
Perhaps you would be able to share a car with @Witt from Hereford?
-
Thanks for getting back to me.
Hopefully the others will be in touch if they are still on the forum.Would you pencil me in for April/May? I’ll keep an eye out for events.
If anyone drops out later in January - I can make up numbers if you need.
Regards
