Hi Markus
Enjoy your game with crockett :)
@SuperbattleshipYamato you can fire the AA gun for the Germans using the server. Did you need help with that?
you type [dice-1d6] without the dash and it will roll a die
so you’d say something like, "AA gun at Fighter in G39 [dice-1d6]
1d6: 2
I guess you should edit the fighter out on your turn then.

Sorry, I forgot.
So, un, dicebot?

I don’t understand this.

Crap, forgot about not bring able to edit.
[dice 1d6]
I don’t understand this either. You are able to make edits in D-Day and in fact we will need to do that.

Why? The AA roll missed - the roll was a two. I’m confused. Why would I edit it out on my turn if it had hit anyway? You could do it before rolling for you combat move.
Finally, is there a reason you stopped after the fighter placement? Blockhouses firing and bombers need to be completed. So does the allied movement and combat before I can take my turn as Germans. There is a lot left to do for the allied turn 1 that doesn’t need anything from the German player. If you’re waiting for me to do something, I’m not sure what it is or why. Let me know what you think.
The allied side is more complicated and this is kind-of why I felt that if its your first game, the best way to learn the flow is to start by playing the Germans. I have no problem going slow and helping out - I’m just concerned you will run out of patience before I do and that’s why I was a bit concerned about your side choice for the first game. Anyway, no biggy just let me know whats going on and well keep it moving.
Sorry, I was just watching your video while I played, and I (seemingly incorrectly) assumed that after you said that you should put the A1 fighters file that it’s the opponent’s turn.
I guess I’m just not used to do that. I’m conducting the next few order cars now.
I couldn’t see (due to the device I was using when I sent that) what the “command” for the dicebot was, and I forgot it.
I sent it, expecting to see what you wrote, then copy it into the post when I edited it.
Unfortunately you can’t edit posts in the “Play Boardgames” category (as you know), so I had to create a new post asking the dicebot to fire.
Bomber attacking German tank in G12:
[dice 1d6]
1d6: 2
Bomber attacking German tank in G31:
[dice 1d6]
1d6: 2
Sorry, I forgot that anti-aircraft fire only hit on a 1.
Anyways, both bombers hit, so I’ll remove the appropriate units.
Allies got lucky on bombardment, Germans got average to lucky (unsure) on blockhouse fire, and Allies got unlucky in combat on Sword Beach.
I understand everything and everything sounds great and looks good. I’ll take a look a bit later but thanks for clarifying everything - nicely written and clear!
