Saladin or Richard the Lionheart

I think it has to be Saladin, my friend. Richard I has always got the publicity and plaudits, but he was not the better commander. I fear he led with his heart, Saladin with his head .He didn’t help back home, running England either. I believe he was barely home for 1 out of his 10 year reign. His wife didn’t see him either. Poor thing!
I do wish I knew more about this period, but fear I never will. I will quiz my brother’s step daughter , who is currently studying the Crusades in History.
