@zlefin Interesting test. I think if you look at the league games in the forum I think the Yunnan save bid is 2 fighters Russia and 1 inf in Yunnan. Placement being in Russia and Volgograd. So typically there are 4 aircraft in Yunnan which pretty much makes it unassailable even if you bring the Bombers in from Tokyo. I have been testing bids as well for KGF/KIF strats. I will post them in this thread when I am done testing some of them.
The Algeria Snake
-
I’ve heard of this strategy for the Allies in Europe called “The Algeria Snake”. Does anyone know what this actually entails?
-
@gunnastunna93 nope. Where did you hear that?
Maybe part of the Gibastion move? -
@cornwallis A guess it would be considered an axis counter strategy to “Gibastion”.Italy uses it’s fleet,2 loaded trannies, some air, plus bombards,to take Algeria on its 1st turn.
If all goes as planned ,Germany can hit sz 92 with all its air units G2.This gives Germany a legal spot to land fighters and tacs. It helps if Italy deals with the french in sz 93 too,so they don’t join up with the UK in sz 92.
Hope that explains it a bit.I just don’t know where the “SNAKE” name comes from. -
@ampdrive that should be it. What is the “Gibastion” strategy ?
-
@Gunnastunna93 when UK does not go Taranto but only takes the italian fleet around Malta and in noncombat moves the Med fleet to Malta combined with fighters from London plus an airbase
-
Odd. Forgive me, but where does Gibraltar come into play in that strategy?
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato i wrote an error: you clear Malta and in NCM move to Gibraltar and built an Airbase on Gibraltar.
-
Thank you! It makes more sense now.
