I did a little instructing and participated in a few notable wargames but most of my time was spent helping the units get on and off the base. The units that train there bring their own equipment. Trains come through the base that are miles long with Abrams, Bradley, large trucks, HMMWVs and all kinds of other vehicles. Its nuts. Anyway, it takes a lot of coordination to load and unload all this stuff.

Hah, yes and I like your questions. I wanted to fight so I aimed at the Marines first. I had a very bad experience in a Marine Corp recruit depot so I walked next door to the Army. And that was that.

The whole story about selecting my branch and all that is in my other book. It’s not as raw or gripping as my first book, the account from Sapper school but it’s got some interesting stories about training up to be an officer. Anyway, heres the link if you’re interested:

I will say I didn’t anticipate you moving the entire Bulgaria stack, but it makes sense considering that I wouldn’t have been able to move in force into that territory.
