I do believe this 1 is done.

Does this mean you resign? Maybe too early, as two capitals are needed. As you wish. Let me know, and I will play Germany, or we can start another one.
Maybe the next game we switch sides and leave the tech aside?
-
OK, I had a closer look, and I believe your are right. Germany can increase its IPCs by spreading out in Asia and Africa and at the same time prepare Sea Lion. The US will be too late to intervene.
Having a look back at our game, I believe that having the US going 100% against Japan and completely ignoring Germany - over several rounds - is not a viable strategy. Germany must be forced to dedicate troops to defend West Europe.
I have some things coming up, but if you like, we can switch sides and maybe leave aside these nasty tech dice, in a week or two. What do you say?
-
@Martin I’m Game Lol. Just let me no when you start. Thanks for the fun games.
-
Thank you for these games! Great - I will launch a new game and start playing Russia, shortly. I propose that we do another two matches of Classic, maybe the first one without tech and the second one with heavy bombers. Yes, it was great fun! :-)
Besides that, do you know another nice game on TripleA which is good but not massive? Maybe 20 or 50% more complex than Classic? Honestly, I am getting bit tired of spending hours on turns in Global. I will continue playing, but at a much slower rate. When I come home after long days in the office and I know there are one or two opponents waiting for finally getting my turns, it is less fun but more of an unpleasant commitment - which is very sad and shouldn’t be. When you just need to spend 5-15 minutes for a turn, it is much more fun and entertaining. Of course I could spend only five minutes per turn in Global, but then I would be sacked within a few rounds, LOL :grinning:
I am currently getting back to a hobby I had 35 years ago - I am unpacking my good old Commodore 64!:flushed:
-
@Martin Thats funny. I to am getting into a old hobby. I am getting my old slot car tracks out. I have over 100 slot cars. I happen to run into them when I was cleaning and got all excited. I don’t even remember witch ones were the fastest. then I did something thats most likely going to piss my wife off. I got on ebay and bid on about 20 more cars. I’ll tell her at least I didn’t find the old train tracks and trains. Oh Crap! I shouldn’t have thought about them. I’m going to take a Quick look at Ebay again. Well I’m at it maybe some flowers will ease the pain. Lol

An economic victory exists in this game for the Axis. All they need is a combined production of 84 at the end of America’s turn to win. No capital need be taken for the Axis to win.
-
@kwaspek104 thank you - I was not aware of this. So we played it “wrong” for a decade or so, LOL
-
Also you can’t retreat when doing an amphibious assault. In third edition, planes can retreat but nothing can retreat when playing by second edition.
