I remember when A&A Minis come in 2005, some players had the main movements on the Revised 2004 ed map, but resolved the battles with the Minis. You are basically suggesting the same, but switch the Minis with a First Shooter Game online. Could be fun.
Does anyone know where Don Rae is now or what happened to him?

I remember when Don was active and published his thoughts. I remember the flame wars on the main forum at that time. I also remember him deleting all his content at the drop of a hat(not sure how you guys hung onto it). This was JUST before the 2004 ‘New’ A&A came out… Some promoter/creator was posting a 10 week, week by week blog before the big release. There was kind of an outcry at the time… I also remember him renaming himself and acting super strange… like some devolving old man who starts dragging his knuckles… gets a vacant stare and just wonders off into the wood… lol … I digress, does anyone know what became of him? Did he NEVER resurface?

No clue what happened to Don. I will say his essays were what inspired me to write my own Warfare Principles of Axis and Allies.
