@lagouyn
You never control a sea zone.
Sea zones are either friendly (contain no enemy surface warship) or hostile (contain enemy surface warship(s)).
The result of a sea battle is that you have cleared it of enemy units (or not).
Is Northern Ireland considered connected to Sea Zone 9?

Is Northern Ireland part of the UK?
Reason for question is can you take a fighter from Eastern US and fly it to UK?
The logic being that to fly Ss11, Ss10, Ss09 then Northern Ireland?
It’s a bit ambiguous tho.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your response.
I was kind of coming to the conclusion that Northern Ireland was not connected to SS9 on my own but good to get clarification. Makes sense, due to the way the map is drawn and the fact that you can’t go through neutral territories (Ireland).
Follow on question would then be are N.Ireland and UK considered same game space.
On board they look like they are almost touching. But assume you can take a ship through Irish straits.
So do you have to move troops to Northern Ireland using a transport?
And if someone attacked UK would NI units be considered part of battle?
Thanks.

Yes, sea zones 6 and 8 are adjacent.
So do you have to move troops to Northern Ireland using a transport?
No, Northern Ireland is not a separate territory.
