@aequitas-et-veritas this is the second time I have lost Russia like this. Clearly I am not paying attention. and need to re-evaluate what I am doing.

From my experiance with PtV is that you as Russia also have to choose wich route you evade and pull back the frontline.
With our two games right now i am learning a lot.
The PtV games i have played before, i just got butchered.
PtV is more time consuming then the G40 versions.

much more time consuming, but I love it due to it’s complexity. Lot’s of options. G40 is typically the same over and over

I can relate to that.
In my other game (BM4) it is the other way arround.
A total attrition warfare. 14 Turns with just a slight improvement and finally the dice are coming back now. Well i hope.
I do learn a lot through this long valley of shadows and death (patience,anger,fear and awareness),
of course it is just frustrating.
But this is the game we chose…

@aequitas-et-veritas I am sure you can relate! With all the games you are playing I am sure you have had bad dice. If you were a weaker player, my bad dice wouldn’t matter as much, but against strong opponents losing battles you should win makes things much more difficult. I envy you, I would rarely have made that Greece attack, but it worked out very well for you. That entire ITA turn could have easily gone very bad for you with those odds….beating strong opponents with bad dice and mistakes is quite difficult, 😆

I have to admitt that I thought about it very long and deeply.
My final thought was to give it a try and go for a strafe.
Normally the Egypt Area and the Mid East is a Nightmare to me, bc i tend to loose more often over the average units there.
When i got the results of the first rounds in both battles i decided to go all in.
Italy needs a deep breath. You are a strong opponent and i learned a lot from our first few games. You tend to come up with some Joker moves from time to time and you are allways ready for some surpises!
