If London is captured and British Pacific liberates territories on the Europe map, can the IPCs go to the Pacific economy? It doesn’t seem fair that Britain’s allies can earn IPCs if the capital is captured, but not a branch itself.
How do you differentiate British Europe Units and British Pacific Units? They are all the same British Unit on the map once they are placed no matter which Capitol’s income placed them.
All that matters is where the territory resides on the map as described in the rulebook (Page 35 Europe 1940 2nd Edition)
The Europe economy includes all of the territories controlled by United Kingdom on the Europe map. London is its regional capital. The Pacific economy includes all of the territories controlled by United Kingdom on the Pacific map. Calcutta is its regional capital. There are two exceptions to this regional division. West India, on the Europe map, is part of the Pacific economy, and the North American territories on the Pacific map are part of the Europe economy.
I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. So the map difference applies even when London is captured? Thought it might be different because if ANZAC liberated those territories the IPCs will be counted.
Yes, the map differences still apply if one Capitol falls. Most commonly this happens for West India. Japan captures India and yet West India is still in UK hands. UK Europe (London) does NOT collect that money.
