I live in deer park. I have tried to put a group together to no avail. I get together w\ a few guys in albertson, but the last couple times was not great. The Achilles heal of this game is it’s time consuming. Fortunately there are ways to speed up play. One is w\ hit dice to speed up the rolling. Guys say they can’t understand it. Huh? Also lots of deliberating made it take a long time. I believe we got to round 5 in global in 9 hours. Global is a big game but that was too much time to get almost nowhere. I don’t prefer global. W\ that said, see if you have some time on weekends for a game.

I’ve been playing this game for many years. Around 20. I was taught by my dad who started playing the year it came out with his dad. In my 20 years of playing this game I have never once beaten my dad. Recently I’ve moved back near him so we have begun playing together again.
I would love to beat my dad at this game. Just a good old fashioned 1v1 victory. Is there anyone that would be willing to either “train” me or play practice games with me? Thank you in advance!

@barnee Yes I have actually! Big fan of both Don and The Good Captain. I’ve got the openers down I seem to “fall apart” so to say in the mid game.
