I might have to give this game to you. UK rolled very poorly. I’m ok with occasional bad rolls as its part of the game. But this being round 1 and happening in both theaters I am very discouraged.

without looking at the dice or map I assume you are speaking of Taranto, the UK attack on the ITA fleet. When I looked at the scramble option it showed the Brits at 38% chance of victory, if memory serves. I think you needed to bring another fighter and the bomber with you. I’ll take a closer look later today and do the ITA turn. If you decide to carry on there is hope. I typically make 1 or 2 big blunders and surely some bad dice will come my way too.

How about you reroll the UK T1 attack and we go from there…FYI, I still think the Taranto naval battle is a bit in question for the brits unless they get lucky.
@666 Much obliged. And you are right about being short 2 planes for the Taranto battle. One was intentional, that was the bomber going to Canada to deal with the subs. The other was not, it was the 2nd London ftr. He should have been included in the battle and with your permission I would like to add him to the fight.

Option 1, re-roll the battles as originally attempted without consequence.
Option 2, change the combat movement (adding a fgt to taranto) and re-roll the battles, while agreeing to allow me the same option, one time, and at a point of my choosing, later in the game.
@666 Option 2 actually sounds ok. I’ve been thinking about making a house rule along those lines, but not sure how to exactly enact it or what the specifics would be. But basically if you get diced really baddly you get a re-roll. In fact, a few years ago I would only play low luck games.

There was a player called Wheatbeer, he was a frequent player years ago, he had a house rule which allowed for rerolls for extreme dicing, we played a few games together with his house rules. It didn’t really catch on in the League. I think the best players feel it isn’t needed and I find they take less risky battles, at least it seems this way to me. Anyways, ok. lets continue.

when this has happened to me I simply start over. Redo the usa turn with the same purchase and movements, this should be easy.
Do the same for china and roll the battle, editing the outcome to match what actually occurred.
And then redo the UK, I think that is the easiest and cleanest way to handle this.

@max334, I’m confused Max. Why wouldn’t my german fighters scramble when the Russian ss attacked? I would have scrambled 3 fighters. This was one of the purposes of the German DD that I bought. Was this an oversight?
