I cut it many times and came up with Axis +1.20. Have to do some fancy footwork to get the flank stats “right”.
We’re going to go with Axis +1.20. Back to you
@arthur-bomber-harris i’ll resign. My bids will definitely be land units, not British ships.
A+150 next?
Let’s stick with a hundred. I’ve always thought I was right to beef up the army.
split the difference and do 130.
@arthur-bomber-harris you are the teacher. I will follow. Yes.
let me know your bid and I will create a new thread

Looks like you are missing 11 PUs if my counting is correct.
I still think you will need a +150 bid to win this game. Do you want 31 more PUs?
@arthur-bomber-harris change sze infantry to artillery Thanks
@arthur-bomber-harris no thank you
@crockett36 can I see your $130 bid? I must be missing a fighter somewhere!
Destroyer for 106?!
Doesn’t seem right
I’m going to change it be a little less finesse and more fists
@crockett36 @Arthur-Bomber-Harris Hey guys did you miss me? Wow, 130 bid!
That seems like it could be a real game changer. You could buy 7 ftr + 2 tac aircraft + 3 tanks + 3 inf ($119) and completely change the Russian front and still have $11 remaining (can’t spend it because you only have 15 spots to put people) Also, might not put three units on the Far East territories as it takes too long to get into the fight, just leave $30 to the russians to spend T1 to buy planes and be instantly in the fight. T1+T2 buys involve 9 mech inf + 3 art + whatever, and now Moscow will not fall any time soon, and the Russians can counter any small buildups of German units. WWII was largely a fight in this theater, and mobilizing the Russian horde will really jump start to the second half of WWII where the Allies were in control.
The $11 could be spent in Pacific theater. $ 8 on Far East 2 art + 1 inf somewhere.
Alternatively, add 1 SS in SZ96 for Taranto + inf + $2 for India.
Move a considerable amount of your mobile ground to Novgorod plus troops to Karelia, T1-T2 and suddenly Finland is in play.
In the last game on G3, the Germans had 29 inf 16 tanks, 5 mech 8 art 3 AA. The Russians 38 inf 2 tanks 3 art 2 mech. Subtract 12 inf from buyT1. T2 buy did not factor into these numbers as they were still at the factories (Ukraine inf could not engage E. Poland). Add 3 tanks + 3 inf + 7 ftrs + 2 tac (bid units) + 2 ftr + 1 tac (original) + 12 mechs + 3 art that can attack since being bought on T1-T2. The straight up battle is a loser 20-80, but it requires complete concentration of all German units in 1 country. Splitting his forces could be tragic very quickly for G.
Plus the Russians now have the same air force strength - 2 bombers as the Germans and a significant counter punching force. Archangel can be held for quite a while. And there is no danger of a German armor breakout into open territory.
There’s probably a more optimal distribution of the bid, but if you want to focus on land units, this would be an interesting twist.
lose the Caucasus mech for an infantry. 40 extra units
