Strategic bombing raids and heavy bombers

Interesting Question.I never play with tech,but reading the rules as printed,I would have to say Yes.
pg 41"When attacking,whether in a battle or a strategic bombing raid,roll 2 dice for each bomber and select the best result"
Pg 17 bombers and escorts are referred to as “attackers” in an air battle that precedes a strategic bombing raid.
What I learned here is heavy bombers defend the same as regular bombers.This may get clarified by Krieg or Panther.

Its 1 dice for each plane on dog fighting or escort intercepting. I’m sure it will be confirmed shortly.
