@dawgoneit I am sorry to hear that you have been unwell. While you have been gone we have been losing this game. Clearly you were missed!
Everyone - I think we are conceding this game. FM, dawg and I seem to think we should do so. Not sure about the others.
-
@private-panic that is a shame . I think Britain . Is very strong and we have a way to go yet.
My allies (or nasty AI) keep rolling appallingly, handing you incredible victories where there weren’t any!
Happy to play another though. Thank you. -
@witt Yes, British homeland is strong, but can’t compete against you. That new IC in Hanover will be grinding out 6 new high tech subs every turn. UK will have to spend all its resources on the home fleet, and get lucky with ship tech.
How am I supposed to crush the Sick Man of Europe if I can’t afford to buy hordes of Sepoys and Gurkhas before he buys another Zep?
Russia is also strong defensively. But we have no chance of regaining anything. -

That just leaves Elrood. The tech dice have shut him out and no one can come to the aid of Italy. Although, Austria has also been shut out of tech as well. -
With the Communists contained and losing ground, a stalled turkey, and battle setbacks for A-H, I thought Allies might continue longer.
Still, an understandable resignation. GG, happy to play another -
@colt45554 wouldn’t have minded resuming a bit. GG
-
GG. Count me in for another!
-
@elrood I’m willing to fight on for a while
-
@fmerwinrommel nah… by declaring defeat it was over. Rather start anew.
-
My teeth are gritted and my loins girded …
… well played @Witt on taking Paris. One day someone will show there is a way back from that for the Entente, but my French lost this game by allowing your nasty teutons through the gates while they were sleeping.
Gosh … that hurt even more than i thought it would!
I would also like to play in the next one.
-
Count me in again.
So far 3 wins each for Entente and CP. But only 1 win for me. Sigh. -
@fmerwinrommel Hmm, there seems to be a trend here…

Lol vicious!
-
Any consensus on if we continue the Turkish buff or do a proper bid? Or nothing at all

Yes, my only win was when I was on your side.

We’ve discussed the Turk benefit enough before you joined the team, that I think nothing has changed since then to change the status quo. Altho personally, I think it’s too generous to Turkey. But we’ve had UK and allies crush Turkey in one game, and Turkey crush India in another game.
So far, Entente and CP have each won 3 games. Did the bid to Turkey contribute to the balance? I’d say the mix of players on each team was the decisive factor.I don’t think our method of choosing countries one at a time and not knowing one’s teammates to start, allows for a traditional bid, like where 2 players or 2 teams bid for one side or the other of two sides. How could it be structured?
-
I would imagine something like a “captain” structure. So the best rollers wouldn’t first-pick their countries, they would bid first(or defer to next roller), if one or both want to. Then they would pick a country from the faction they accepted bid on.
Once all have chose country, the faction with bid can decide together how to place bid or captain does it if there’s dissent.
Maybe that’s a bit too messy to try and I’m ok with status quo if the others are.
