@mike64 I had edited that tank out of Denmark on Japan’s turn, but it’s back in Denmark. When I do Germany I’m going to edit back to W Germany.

Hey, back from a trip to Pa. I’ve tried a couple of times. I used to know how to do it. Do I have to use gmail?
-
I’ve got two fighters I want to land on a built carrier. Is there a way to do that?
-
if there’s not, I would have bought two transports instead.
-
@crockett36 fighters cannot land on the deck of a newly purchased carrier. when you open the save file you should see this screen:

select “play by email” and you should see this screen:

then just hit the “play” button at the bottom. gmail is not necessary.
let me know if you have any issues

b2.tsvg thanks
-
@crockett36 I had the Japanese attack the SZ off Alaska. Japanese scored three hits, how do you want them?

-
@the_good_captain take the transport, the carrier and the sub.
-
@crockett36 okay, but just a reminder - fighters that lose all carriers in the same sea zone must land on an island or island group in the same sea zone or they are considered “lost”. In other words, if you lose your carrier and the Japanese retreat instead of engaging in a second round of combat, both fighters will be destroyed. Reference: page 15, left column, top of the page.
I’ll hold off until you confirm.
-
@crockett36 to be clear, I’m not trying to influence your decision making - a carrier defends on 3 and a fighter defends on 4. The fighter is the better defender and to lose one makes it easer for the Japanese to clear the sea zone in round 2. It’s just that it has come up in previous games with other players who didn’t know and I hate to make a play where my opponent didn’t understand everything that could happen.
-
@crockett36 one last thing, I made a purchasing error. I’ve got six games going at the moment and I think I cooked my brain by the time I got to ours last night. I should have purchased just four infantry and saved the rest. Is it okay to adjust? All good if not. This won’t happen again.
-
@the_good_captain I can’t land in Alaska?
-
@the_good_captain no problem changing purchases
-
@crockett36 said in crockett36 l vs The Good Captain x:
@the_good_captain I can’t land in Alaska?
from page 15 top left corner:
“If it [fighters] survives the battle, it must try to land in the same sea zone the battle takes place in - either on an island or another carrier. If it cannot land it is considered lost and eliminated from play!”
In short, it cannot land on Alaska, since Alaska is not an island.
-
What a rule! I will take the 2 fighters and the transport. I need you in that sea zone when battle is done!
