@kilroynothere hey Kilroy my apologies for being
Extremely lte here. We had a pretty spontaneous summer trip to Lake Constance with the kids for a week. We came back on Thursday and planning the 12th birthday for our oldest daughter this Saturday. But I will be back in our game on Sunday evening latest. Hope you had a wonderful August too. -
@robson sounds lovely! Soccer tourney weekend for my oldest and she just scored! Much fun. And… im very jealous of your trips!
-
@kilroynothere There we are. Glad to hear you had a good time at soccer. My youngest lately decided to stop playing soccer in our local club and focus only on her ballet class.
I am a bit disappointed as I was playing for the same club for over 12 years. And seeing her in the same shirt was a remarkable experience. But she is much ore enthusiastic with ballet so I am fine with it. triplea_37995_jap6.tsvg -
@robson that is very, very cool. One of the many things I love about Europe is the loyalty and longevity of the football clubs. As for kids, if you can get them to be motivated and excited for something, anything, you have done well!
-
@Robson sorry for the delay. Hectic week or so. Japan is forcing some decisions to be made I did not want to.triplea_37995_UK6.tsvg
-
@robson hey Robson, just checking in on you. Hope all is well. My last two weeks have been absolutely crazy, so no pressure, just making sure you noticed I submitted the UK move.
-
@kilroynothere hey Kilroy, yes crazy does reflect the last couple weeks pretty well. School has finally started again and COVID is getting back to us. Our oldest got it the second time as well as my wife. We are pretty that it were the same symptoms as last time and not worse. Will continue tomorrow with the game. Meantime I hope you and your family are safe.
-
Morning Kilroy, there it is.triplea_37995_it6.tsvg

@robson Thanks for the file. Very sorry to hear about the family getting sick again. COVID in the states has turned into the yearly flu for all of us that are being vaccinated (which that was more!). Just something to contend with like any other cold. My wife just came down with the same head cold I have struggled with the for the last week or so. Nothing horrible, but annoying of course. Take care of yourself and the family and I’ll see what kind of mischief Italy is up to!
-
@robson The Russians are on the attack, but their air force took a beating! US is moving into the Pacific finally. Allies are finally on the offensive in Europe as well.
-
@kilroynothere Dear Kilroy, as the situation looks absolutely desperate, the axis power do surrender due to the overwhelming allied power. Congrats to another well deserved victory!
-
@robson Hey Robson, I thought you might go that direction. Feel the Axis can hold on for a long, long time, but… the momentum and the economics favor the Allies right now. Up for another game? I can play the axis this time. I like our pace of play as I really cannot play more regularly than we tend to do.
-
@robson, I do have one question on the last game. The Japanese fleet off of Singapore, did you intend to land your planes on the carrier or leave them all at the airbase on Singapore? I was just curious as I could see either play being advantageous or disadvantageous for Japan. I was totally OK if you had made a mistake and I would have gone back and changed up some of my moves to allow you to change your move if you simply missed it. Just wasn’t sure.
-
@kilroynothere Hey Kilroy, yes of course. Please start the game with the Axis any time you want. I think I can proceed beginning of next week.
-
@robson Sounds great. I am going to try to figure out something a bit different this time. What the heck that is, I don’t know yet!!!
-
@robson So sorry for the massive delay. Family and work life has drained all of my free time of late. Plus, Fall is a lovely time here in Austin, Tx and sports, parties and other gatherings seem to be taking my evenings! I will get you a move here soon.
-
@robson Again, very sorry for the delay in starting up this game. Work got crazy, had some tragedy with friends, its been hectic to say the least. Finally had a bit of time to think about how I wanted to approach this game.
Need your scramble orders.
-
@kilroynothere Hey Kilroy, all good. Hope everything turns out well for you and your family.
I am also currently pretty buys with finishing my paintwork before the map for Global War 36 v4 will arrive in my house.
By the way: maximum scramble please :relaxed: -
@robson OH, this is going to be a fun opening! “artwork”? What are you creating? send a pic if you can. I’m intrigued. You may like this, my friends and I were able to play my 1986 game of Shogun the other week face to face. It was a blast! Had not opened the box for 20 years!
-
@robson Well, the Germans had great dice on the small battles and horrible dice on the big ones. No hits in Yugo first round! Lost most of the luftwaffe and UK has a BB left. Even lost a tank in France! Not sure if it is a major problem for Germany, but definitely going to be difficult moving forward…triplea_36714_1ger.tsvg
