I can’t wait to hook the two different games up, it’s gonna be awesome. Until then I’ve got COD: MW2 and MLB 09 The Show and some other games as well……

Thank you, that actually helped a lot. We had a general idea of the subs ability to submerge unless facing destroyers, but that got a little confusing when it came to combined arms. Your comment about dice actually sorted that out. Thanks a bunch, I’m sure I’ll be back with questions about convoys, bombing, and scrambling once we play again.

Note that if the allied air units are controlled by a different player, the decision whether to scramble those units is made by that player.Â As with any battle involving multiple defending players, they must decide upon casualties among themselves, and if they can’t decide the attacker chooses.

Also, such air units may only be scrambled if that ally is at war with the attacker.

If you’re using 2nd edition, you don’t need anything from Alpha 3, as it’s all been incorporated into the 2nd edition. Use the 2nd edition setups, which can be found here.

Multinational Forces: Transports belonging to a friendly power can load and offload your land units. This is a three-step process:
1. You load your land units aboard the friendly transport on your turn.
2. The transport’s controller moves it (or not) on that player’s turn.
3. You offload your land units on your next turn.

Unloading in an enemy territory occurs in your scenario in US’ combat move phase, followed by the battle.
Unloading in a friendly territory occurs in US’ NCM phase.

You are, for two reasons. First, subs fire or submerge before anything else fires, unless there is an enemy destroyer in the battle. Second, air units can’t hit subs unless there’s a destroyer friendly to the air units in the battle. So, in the case of only air units attacking only subs, the subs can submerge before the air units fire, but even if they don’t the air units can’t hit them.

Welcome, rabbit221!

A unit’s attack and defense ratings indicate which numbers on the die rolls score hits. For example, infantry, with an attack rating of 1 and a defense rating of 2, score hits when attacking on a 1 and score hits when defending on a 2 or less.
