Might also just sacrifice the italian fleet, landing air differently. Not sure it’s wise to try and save it with Barbarossa being stuck. Crushia has a far greater priority than keeping the Med alive.

:) Its interesting. I think though that the loss of air for the Germans in that attack actually is probably the reason I can threaten the Italian fleet. With more air, Germany doesn’t get stuck in Russia and has more income which it can spend to support the Italians. And if the Germans break through, the UK has to spend more to defend the mid east and isn’t buying as much naval.
