The rules (3.3) say that you lose VPs per land zone in home territory that has a point value.

KMT/CCPs home territory consists of KMT, CCP, Warlords, Manchuria, Hong Kong, and Formosa.

So basically the Japanese really have to screw the pooch for KMT/CCP to get all their VPs.

Unless I’m missing something?

@hbg-gw-enthusiast why does losing the war technically matter if it has nothing to do with the surrender of the nation? it is a minor difference but there are no victory points for technically winning the Chinese Civil War - right? ha.

Oh yeah, I agree with both of you, @insaneHoshi and @JbuckBuddy, I think that is the proper interpretation of the rule. I was merely pointing out that the way it’s written leaves this question completely justifiable to have been made, as that’s how the rule reads as written!

@insaneHoshi good points all around. I wasn’t think big picture when you said that. Of course others would have to be at war to Lend Lease. So yeah, that makes it a different situation anyways. Still though, just goes to show there are a plethora of possibilities!

Sounds good. We just didn’t know if the optional rule about capturing a territory with a capital ship being produced at a shipyard sort of trumped that specific rule. We have been using the rule you posted instead of the optional rule with france. Thanks!

I see the logic, will take some getting used to for sure to remember that, as it might not be considered intuitive, but I definitely get the thought process! Thanks for that!
