@robson sorry for my delay, I was out of town this weekend. This game is fascinating! I like that we are on round 4 and I still have no idea exactly what is going on.

@robson Yeah, Italy is under some pressure, but they tend to hold on for a long, long time even with a lot of Allied attention. Tough nut to crack. Plus, the German navy is a beast! Enjoy the time away.

@Robson Sorry for this delay. Ended up getting in a car wreck (nothing major and no injuries), but enough that my 2012 Audi was considered “totaled” so am having to navigate this through insurance, and getting a new car. Eating up my time. Think I have it all figured out so hopefully will have something back to you here soon.

triplea_37995_5ger.tsvg Hey Kilroy no problem. Actually my wife and me got Covid and we are sick since more then a week. Meanwhile I can at least focus enough for 10-15 minutes before brain fog kicks in again.

@robson sorry to hear you guys got ill. Hope your recovery is swift. I know a few friends have had lingering coughs weeks afterward.

We have been busy getting ready to go on our Italy trip and my wife just had food poisoning and we had to go to the doctor. Better than an appendix issue we were fearful of. So, I have been distracted the last week in preparation for leaving. We leave tomorrow, but I have finished UKP. If you happen to finish Japan today, I know generally what I want to do with UK, so should be able to get that done today if you have time. If not, then we can catch up in a few weeks.

@robson Just got back to the US. What a great trip to Italy! Now of course, I want to move there… Maybe someday. Glad to hear you and your family are getting better and I definitely have heard of the lingering effects of the virus. Hopefully you are nearing 100% now. I’ll take a look and get my move in as soon as I can. And I think that Japan is incredibly difficult to play in this new variant. That’s a good thing as I always found Japan just ran away with it in the original. I like your playing of Japan so far. Keeping US engaged and UKP from expanding.

@Robson sorry for the delay this week. Trying to get back into work mode and catch up after my break. Not so easy!

So, loving the aggressive Germany against UK/US. I’ve always thought an aggressive German navy is the key to victory for the Axis. It’s allowed Italy to recover and keep a LOT of US attention and all of UK attention toward Germany. Oh, and the Scots are pissed off! Loving this game. Way out of the box.

@robson No worries. As always, I completely understand. There are times when I simply cannot carve out the time to make a move. I did get some A&A in this weekend. Friend of mine was in town and we played Guadacanal. I bought it years ago and never played. A LOT of fun. Built for 2 players and you can finish off a game in 3-4 hours.

Oh that sounds great! Guadalcanal is such a nice game for two! Have it in
my stock too but played it last time someting like 10-11 years ago.
I hope that one day one of my daughters might get addicted too.

Looks like R6 will be the decisive round… I just don’t know which way this is going yet. Fun game. And… saw that the dice gods bit the Italians in Russia. Ouch, must be winter…
