Correct. The airbase rules only apply to the units on that land space - they do not apply to units in adjacent spaces.

technically speaking, every continent is an island, but not every island is a continent…
It seems logical that the defense of Japan would have been considered with the one sea zone and fighter defense.

Well in Larry’s eyes an island is a land mass that is surround by one sea zone(check US island bases NA in AA revised). So technically speaking thats all that matters. Land based fighters will be able to defend the sea zone around that island if it has an airbase. In Larry’s eyes Japan is an island, where Australia & UK are not.

I was told i get all my ideas from him and Adlertag gets his jokes from him too. Other than that i have no idea who he is. Perhaps one day he may expose his identity to the world just like Bruce Wayne should have done as Batman.
