I think I would prefer the map as is compared to giving you the 3 killed units back and having to deal with another stack next to Moscow.
I have a decent chance to wipe out your forces in Bryansk based on the map.

I will have another look at the map tomorrow and let you know…

@ghostglider I think you misunderstand. The Tambov fight was before the smolensk fight. So, when I did the Smolensk fight, I would have had knowledge of the Tambov outcome. So, since the first round of smolensk was 0 hits, I would have retreated. If you want to change Tambov, I have to be able to change smolensk as that came after Tambov, and since 0 hits round one, I had the option to retreat.

I don’t agree that you “… have to be able to change smolensk…” battle because you have already rolled the dice for the Smolensk battle. What about the dice from the Vologda battle?.. - should you also be allowed to retreat after round 4 in that battle to save your BMB before it was shot down because this could give you one more defender to Bryansk…

When in doubt/for future battles remember to stop and ask for OOL when it can be relevant. If not asking, the defender is allowed to change after knowing the results from all rolled dice.

I believe the correct way forward should be:

We keep all dice and you are allowed to change NCM as you like which is what I mention in a previous mail

Alternatively an option could be:
2) I continue from the original map with no adjustments of casualties - even though I requested the change in OOL for the Tambov battle…

@ghostglider I don’t think you understand. I could have also taken it with 4 hits. In that case I would have retreated from smolensk since it wouldn’t have been a go back and change later situation. Logically there is no difference between taking it with 3 or 4 because I would have done the same thing. I don’t think the rules take into account hit and run situations where the player would need to have the option to retreat in battles that follow any change that involves taking a space that wasn’t taken originally.

Even that rule is not right because it doesn’t take into account territory change edits, no big deal. I edited it. The game must go on. Check the edit.g5edited.tsvg
