Yeah I said I was going to fix Burma. I think one must be comfortable with 80/20 battles, don’t you think?
@crockett36 I often look at TUV swing. Right now Burma would be a +25 PU swing for the Axis if I attacked which is just too tempting. It also leaves India wide open for capture on J3 which is the even bigger issue.
I rarely will do a battle with only a 20% chance of winning unless I am badly losing and need a desperation attack.
These orders go into effect at 3pm unless there are objections. I didn’t hear anything about the destroyer’s ability to prevent G2 sealion. So I moved it. I would invite such a move, thinking even a success would be a TUV disaster. Not to mention a robust fleet and figs in Scotland. But I could be wrong.

Putting the 1 mech in UK is plenty of defense.
Why place the transport at SZ88? Can’t do anything. Might die in SZ109, but if not, will be helpful to goto SZ106 next turn rather than 2 turns.
I’m fine with other moves.

I think that you were a bit too cautious about Sealion as the move is not that good even in a no-bid game and certainly would get me in big trouble in a game with 67 PUs placed in the European theater. I would have tried to retain Gibraltar as it won’t be regained for a couple turns. Not too big of a deal but still helps out in the long run.
I also think that getting either a Money Island or Persia would have been a significant help for the Allies. Persia is my preference as a factory can be built there on UK2 and three more units will be ready to defend that front when Germany eventually arrives. Building the Egyptian factory though is a good start to fortifying the region. I opted to run the opposite direction instead of contesting East Africa which is a losing fight for the Axis in this game.
Italians are focused on their primary mission of supporting German advancement into Russia/Middle East. I skipped some other attacks in order to move my units towards the front.

@arthur-bomber-harris I have an advisor and he and I decided to reinforce England.
So officers, what is our objective for Anzac? I’m assuming it is to strengthen 54 and project power over the money islands. Must always have a transport ready for an acquisition.
Grandkids are visiting. Might be mostly unavailable for the week.
For the ANZAC, I like an initial buy of 1 sub. Activate Java. Then next round you can by 3 subs.
Since Japan can’t engage, max defend SZ54.
I would consider vacating Malaya, but not big play either way.
For the French, we actual have some choices
I would move the fleet to SZ98 and begin rebuild/reinforce of Med fleet. Unlikely to be hit by Germans, and if they did, then a bomber is vulnerable.
Could help in SZ96, but will probably die from Luftwaffe attack and only hit 2 planes.
Could send DD to kill transport, but UK bomber is probably better for that.

I am always a big fan of Allied subs in the Pacific. If they can get in a repeated exchange of sub for a destroyer, it is a winning proposition. Also a huge win if the Money Islands or Japan itself gets convoy raided.
So I don’t get the Java grab. It is temporary and within the path of the IJN. They MUST go there. DNG is an optional campaign that stymes Anzac. It will distract them from their IPC explosion on account of limited number of transports. Did you want the planes in Java too. I have plans to put them on the US carriers.
I think the obvious goal for 54 is to match and exceed the IJN in units, keeping safe Aus as well as projecting power over Cel/Java/malaya. Perhaps forcing Jap to buy ships. By extyension keeping safe Hawaii. In our wildest dreams, picking up Manila.
@crockett36 why not take Java. Its turn 1. Unlikely that Japan will DOW as turn 2 is bad choice, unless the allies leave alot of units open to attack…we wont. If he wanted to accelerate the war the japan should have DOW T1.

No need to fly to Java. Could add fighter to India. But I think the Chinese will be a distraction for awhile. Plus, that becomes a possible reason for J to DOW early–kill ftr easy and prevent build up in India. Might be worth the loss to bring the US in…
But yes, I agree build up SZ54 with ftrs as you did.
