  • @artofwar1947 said in PTV Art of War (Ax+5) v Nikola (Al):

    [dice 2d6=<2]

    [dice 2d6 =< 2]

  • @artofwar1947

I cannot seem to get the dice to work.

    Let me try:

    [dice 2d6 <=2]

  • @artofwar1947
    [dice 1d6]
    [dice 1d6]

  • 1d6: 3
    1d6: 5

  • Will edit out an art and inf from Japan instead of the fighter and tac lost in Manila.

I don’t understand why the US still has two fighters in Hawaii. I thought I had scrambled them and battle ended. Unfortunately, I don’t have US Martis for any rolls other the US sub. Do you have any of the US rolls. Did I some how not scramble the fighters?

I should have waited to do this when I had no other distractions.

  • @artofwar1947

Looking at the history. Apparently, I selected 2 fighters but then did not hit the scramble button.

I will roll for the 2 US fighters on the forum.

    [dice 1d6]

    [dice 1d6]

  • 1d6: 5
    1d6: 3

  • @dicebot

1 hit against the J DD., which missed in the next round any way.

Second round for US fighters, which both survived the first round:

    [dice 1d6]

    [dice 1d6]

  • 1d6: 5
    1d6: 3

  • @dicebot

1 more hit (on the J bomber).

  • @artofwar1947

Correction, the US CA got a hit which was originally taken on the J DD, which a US fighter now knocked round 1. So that CA hit goes on the J. Bomber in round 2, and the US fighter hit goes on a J. Tac in round 2.

  • @artofwar1947 Hm, I am not sure I am following this. I am taking your word for it, if you are sure you are right?

  • @nikola1975

You can can check this against History & dicebot rolls:

    Round 1.
J: Ss, DD, bmr, 2 F, 2 Tacs scored 1 hit (on US Ss).
US: Ss, DD, CA scored 1 hit (on J Ss).

    US: 2 F dicebot 5 & 3 (1 hit on J DD).

    Round 2
J: bmr 2 F and 2 Tacs scored 5 hits ( 1 more than needed to destroy US ships and air)
US DD & CA scored 1 hit (on J bmr).

    US 2 F dicebot 5 & 3 again (1 hit on J Tac)

Basically, without the fighters, the US ships (DD and subs) got a total of 2 hits total
The fighters got 2 more total.

I splashed the J Tac and bmr (instead of edited).

  • @artofwar1947 Thanks, I get it. Not bad turn for US, considering Japan’s overwhelming power.

    Will play later.

  • @nikola1975

I agree, the Allies defense took it toll.

  • @artofwar1947

The DD in SZ 27 should be in SZ 32. Without the 2 fighters from Hawaii, there is only a 2% to 6% chance of a US attack being successful. So, no real need to block SZ 27 and lose another DD.

  • @artofwar1947 I moved it. Do you think it would be good to say once the turn is posted, there is no editing after? Is there an agreement like that on the forum maybe?

  • @nikola1975

I’m not comfortable with no edits after a post. If that were, in fact, the rule, I would have to take forever with every turn, checking and re-checking before I posted.
