  • @simon33 Well done! I think it is time to surrender this one :)

    You played very good with Japan. It seems it’s getting very difficult to play against a first turn Japan attack, if the player is aggressive and good as you are. It would require very heavy US investment to Pacific to overpower IJN and that is probably what should be done and leave UK and Soviet Union to try and survive for themselves.

    Thanks for the game! I think it was mainly the extreme dice C1+UK1 failing to retake Yunnan which made it unduly difficult. That allowed me to fly down planes, enough to prevent you from reopening the Burma Rd, which doesn’t usually happen in PtV.

    If my Western defence had been better, Europe would not have given me so much trouble. My defence improved later especially given that Germany didn’t really need to win, just not die. A consistent weakness of my Axis game.

    Oh actually you only sent 1inf UK1 to Yunnan and didn’t lose a plane. Maybe you weren’t aware of the consequences. Might be a learning experience for you there.


  • @simon33 Yes, this could have made a difference. Do you think it was that decisive? That little detail could help a lot?

    I still think it would be difficult to break the fleet without huge investment. I will have to try both next time.

    Yeah that little detail is pretty important. In this game it cost you the Burma road when otherwise you probably would have had it for 5rounds or so
