Paris will fall next round. 37 cavalry on top of all the other troops will overwhelm me despite building max units every turn. The successful U-boat opening prevented Canadians and Brits from sending timely reinforcements. The invasion of Mexico diverted USA’s attention and the income bonus that G will get, will allow him to build max defense there. I wanted to build HGs in Paris last turn, especially since I had that tech. But that would have limited building in Mars, etc. After G went en masse in Burgundy in last game, I wanted to have enough units in the south to contain such a move and to counterattack in FrancC. Even if I had built HGs last turn, Paris would still fall next turn due to significantly greater numbers. The remaining French forces can’t stop the large number of attackers that will survive, from sweeping across France. UK has limited tt’s and USA none in the Atlantic. France has been blocked from reinforcing Greece. Italy can’t hold out without French help. This will be a short game

@fmerwinrommel Pretty good summary. Generally speaking, if it looks like Germany is gonna focus west rather than east then France must go max defense of Paris and UK/Italy might even need to send a few units. Usually somewhere between turn 5-7 is when Germany will try to push hard once that is stopped usually France is ok.

Oh and its even worse if Germany rolls tank tech as that increases their attack power significantly.

@redrum In our 1st team game, Witt was on the verge of taking Paris early. But he didn’t risk the attack, and Paris rapidly built defense with HGs, trenches, defensive tech, and UK units. France also grew its income, which I hadn’t been able to do in this game. G couldn’t build tanks until turn after discovery, and he will already be in Paris.

@fmerwinrommel Yeah, I would have needed to roll tanks in the first 3 turns to build any in time. I did that in a game a while ago against Adam playing France and rolled into Paris with quite a few tanks :)
