I figure there aren’t too many things classified as Islands that would have air bases so far away as to make them invulnerable to shore bombardment. The air fields on Guadalcanal and Wake island certainly got hit and both Hickam and Pearl could be hit from the sea. By definition, this ability assumes no defenders. Even a single scrambling fighter or defending destroyer nullifies the ability.
Using the Global War 1914 Diplomacy Model In G40?

Each major power has their own quadrant in the “Diplomacy Pie”
In the middle being strict neutrals
and you have every country’s markers (using other house rules) that were neutral in the war in there.
And you can influence them by spending influence points or whatever (also think there are event cards that can do that) The more closer you go to a major power’s quadrant, the more influenced that country is to that power. So, in GW14, you can influence Italy into joining the war for the Central Powers! You can challenge countries, rebellions in provinces, etc.
I watched a video by Panzer King and thought the diplomacy model with the extreme amount of event cards looked so cool.
There are many interesting variants for G40 on the forum and online (like the wiki) I want to develop a diplomacy model just like in GW14’ but in G40 because it sounds like fun!
