Does anyone have a good scan of the full map?

I would like to start making a custom map in Illustrator.

Check out IL’s strategy maps for AA50, and the regular map, the works done for you.

You just need to get it printed and laminated.

Great work! wow, that is really nice. I love the work you did.

Is there anyway i could get an un-rasterised Illustrator file version? If it’s OK with you i wanted to make some aesthetic changes to the typography and little things like that?

For my own personal use, not to re-distribute.

its 100% vector artwork. I NEVER work with raster. I traced it by hand so i don’t have any file for reference, but you can use mine and work on typography AS LONG as you provide the public with your work by posting the completed .AI file as well as .PNG or .PDF

If i ever get the time to do this, i will definitely post it up.

I’m thinking of tracing the actual game board map by hand onto tracing paper, then retracing with micron pen, then scanning it, and then in Illustrator doing a live trace to make it vector.

And then from there do all the art work.

If i do go ahead and do this, i would want to paint my game pieces, too.

But i am trying to find good techniques online, because i am reading there are some issues with the paint’s durability on the Axis & Allies pieces.

I wonder if the new pieces that will be in AA42 and the reprint of AA50 will be better suited for painting, if the paint will adhere to the pieces better.

But do not worry, if i were to EVER use any of yours or anyone else work as a base, i would give you/them all the credit.

But i think i will do it from scratch, the good old fashioned way.

don’t paint the AA50 pieces because the AA42 pieces will be much better. Just work on your map.

Hey Imperious, I’m working over on the AA50 software and someone recently suggested we add these as relief tiles to the map.  Would it be ok with you to include them (with credit given of course) in the game downloads?
