  • The eventual shore bombardment has not been selected yet, which I think is in accordance with the rules. If you want we can check them to be sure.

    Iโ€™m fine with you not selecting the shore bombardment yet. Interestingly this came up in a game between two other people, there doesnโ€™t seem to be a rule for it or at least not one thatโ€™s easy to find.913f3ea0-f4b2-4771-9219-a1785b643a43-image.png This is from that game, the attacker wanted to know if there was going to be a scramble to the other territory before deciding where to bombard, the defender wanted to know where the bombardment was going before deciding where to scramble. They couldnโ€™t find a rule so just sorted it out amongst themselves.


  • Ok, I believe there is a wording in the rules solving this issue. Iโ€™ll check it up.


  • Itโ€™s clear as day in the rules, but itโ€™s actually part of the CM-phase and not conducting battle.

    โ€œPhase 2: Combat Move (Powers at War Only)

    Scramble
    Scrambling is a special movement that the defender can
    make at the end of this phase. It must be done after all of
    the attackerโ€™s combat movements have been completed
    and all attacks have been declared. The attacker may
    not change any combat movements or attacks after the
    defender has scrambled.โ€ (p 12, Europe)


  • One problem with 3A though is that it chooses all ships that can conduct shore bombardment, while itโ€™s actually possible to not choose all ships. Itโ€™s player enforced, but itโ€™s easiest to just move out the ships that will not participate before executing battles. Has to be done during CM though, which might look weird.
