Well sinking the CV in that scenario was the maximum possible defence. You could have tried to sink the DD first and only tipped the CV in the hope that you got good dice later and were then able to repair the CV.

@nikola1975 Well yes, you have played excellent against Americans. When it seemed I might have a decisive charge in Europe, everything stopped there, Germans are managing to plug all the holes somehow… No real attack opportunities, I should have focused on some areas.
I have gone basically fully defensive as Germany. You have still gotten a couple of footholds in Normandy and then Norway but it has stripped the Pacific of ships, which Japan has been able to capitalise on. I’ll have a couple of comments at the end if you like.
