This Variant is coming soon. You need the units from G40, but this is only played on the Europe 1940 2nd edition map.

I agree with Jim Napoleon in Europe is a good bet. I do think a strict axis and allies component system in a Napoleon era would be awesome.

I am considering buying the pieces only to add to my exspansive collection of plastic miniatures. How well do the ships sit on the gameboard?

The submarines have bodies that are a bit narrow, so they can sometimes tip over, but the other pieces are stable.
