Tough call, but will go ahead and scramble 2 fighters, 1 tac.
OOL: subs, DD, tac, cruiser, fighters
@trulpen lol, those Russians where very hostile… and they would not have hesitated to kill any Germans around Moscow.
…and that Gibralter sub doesnt really have a good purpose, but it seemed like a good idea at the time and it was like “well I can, so maybe I should”

True, the russians would’ve snuffed anything that stuck its nose close to their hearth. Apart from that they were defenseless and innocent.

You certainly can, but I think it’s advisable to not waste units. In this case it will likely have a very slim chance of making any damage on the defense. It might even not get any chance at all if for instance a sub hits it with first strike.
With the fleet it atleast functions as some fodder in an eventual attack.
@trulpen yes, very true… with your blessing, I will retreat him. It did feel kind of good sticking him out there though…he was trying to look tuff
oh and how are you guys liking that factory we built for you all in Egypt? You know that’s brand new… state of the art… never even used once

“Tuff” is actually how “tough” is spellt in Swedish. Sure, you may retreat the sub. Even though Germany is avalanching after crushing Russia, I felt the position of the sub was a bit unnecessary.

Oh, we simply adore it! We promise it will be put to much use, so you won’t feel it’s wasted at all. ;)
@trulpen …so that’s how you spell tuff — tough… let me look it up:
Is it tuff or tough?
"Tough and tuff are two different words. Tough is the same as rough; tuff means cool, sharp–like a tuff-looking Mustang or a tuff record."Nov 14, 2017
I guess thats what I meant, he (the sub) was trying to look cool and be intimidating. But you are very right, Germany does not really need him given there luck in Russia. So I will leave him and you can decide his fate
@max334 ooops, the correct spelling is “their” luck

Casualties in z94? 3 hits (instead of 4,5).
Damage the bs is evident, but must be noted that if the carrier is damaged UK may retreat and the air will not be able to land.
Of course, UK may always retreat, but say Axis choose to dmg bs, dmg ac and sink 1 cr, then no matter the outcome of the defense a sneaky move could be (not saying it will be) to retreat.
In that case the air will die and G and I has 1tr, 1 des, 1 cr, 1 dmg ac, 1 dmg bs in z94. That’s a TUV of 59, but with no repair possibility. The fleet has 4 hp and 10 p.
The fleet has a move of 2 and may reach z95. On a note I had intended to move 1 des from z99 to z95 now during CM, in case there was a scramble. However, a scramble to z99 looks like complete suicide, so assumed none would be made. Will move the des during NCM.
If you instead keep the ac functional, advisable is to instead sink the 2 cr. Since there’s only 1 sub in the battle it might not be cruical to keep the des, but it’s always extremely annoying if that first-strike comes true.
Anyway, lets look at that option anyway. Then G and I would instead have 1 tr, 1 des, 1 dmg bs, 1 ac, 1 fig, 1 tac in z94. That’s a TUV of 68 and with 6 hp and 14 p.
To me it looks like you want to keep the ac undamaged, but it’s your call. I won’t make any assumption since it’s not evident and we don’t know the result of the defense.
damn… you are not a very good dice roller. When you took Egypt I thought maybe you had some sort of arrangement with the dice server, but as the game has progressed, I see that that may not be the case.
So, this is an interesting conundrum. Knowing that you are a darn Swede, I know that you are as sneaky as they come. Its like in your DNA. So what to do what to do… if I had only kept my sub back…

Actually, the russian efforts in the early rounds showed some serious deficit with the dice.
The situation is pretty interesting. Gave as much advice as possible above, but not certain there is an objectively best choice. It’s a lot about chance, of course.
Yes, the sub would’ve helped a bit in the defense there.
