In real history, airborne destroyed bridges, railways, to delay reinforcements. What about on a separate roll (normal game rules, not my battle logistics) from the attack roll, if you roll a 1-10, you delay one unit of your choosing for one round of combat. But, if that unit gets a hit, it goes on the airborne.

Hi all,

As someone who usually plays the Axis, I found that airborne units are insanely effective. You can pretty easily snipe places like Transcaucasia (5 IPP and aligns Turkey) with 1-2 airborne and some air support. It can get pretty dumb.

I would recommend that airborne units need to match 1:1 with the IPP value of any non-island territory unless the territory is being simultaneously attacked by your land units or adjacent to a territory being attacked by your land units.

Basically, this would reign in exploiting airborne (can’t snipe London, Moscow, Berlin, with solely airborne unless there is a tonne of them which is unlikely due to the nature of airborne troops.

I think this would be a simple rule to implement that would prevent cheesing.

I agree.
Note that if any unit (even a plane) crosses a fortified border, the fortification becomes active.

It’s funny how such an important rule is in such an odd place. You’d think it would be mentioned in the non-combat chapter but it isn’t :/. There is nothing wrong with stating the same rule in multiple sections. I hope that the creator of the game will be receptive to hot-fixes for V.3.0.

It is a tough problem for a great game with so many infantry versions
I still haven’t committed to one idea over another yet, but for now regular infantry and mountain infantry scuplts I like, so they get to go straight on the board.

For militia I use the white Dutch infantry sculpt because they stand out, so that no-one should ever move them out of their territory. I then painted their base to the colour of the nation they belong to.

Not sure what to do with marines, elites, airbourne, blackshirts, volkstrum etc etc yet.

I have the flat tokens for now but we find they keep getting overlooked a lot.

If someone brings out a generic colour scheme that we can all use it would make videos easier to see whats going on.

Here is what I did with magnets (some videos). Had my board printed on steel. Has worked well. I think I will might do flags instead of the chips/tokens. I kinda went overboard but once I began…well…

It makes playing easier, no chips to deal with.
