  • @surfer what would you think about the idea of making a mod of bm that doubles either prices, the dice pips and switches to d12 dice or both to more optimize the prices making every unit fair and usable?


  • @windowwasher I think you mean…double price and value of all territories+objectives so that you have 2x money but 2x cost, so net change should be nothing. Then adjust, prices to change relative strengths of units, right?

    Similarly, increase all rolls by 2, but add d12 so again no change.

    Are you proposing to do both?

    The trick becomes in what do you want to make “fair”

    As it stands, no two units are “fair”. Each has a role and more importantly should be coupled with others to make a fighting force.

    maybe, either one can double the “accuracy” of the stats, both would quadruple them

    yeah, could be an issue… we could vote and debate as a league. I don’t think we’d change many of the staples, such as infantry, artillery, fighters, destroyers and transports but rather base the balancing of other troops like bombers, tac bombers, battleships, cruisers, AA guns and maybe the factories/bases off of the staples.

    I think it’s quite lame that battleships, cruisers and AA guns are such niche purchases, it would be cool to have a larger pallet of units to choose from.

    Also, it could be more of a tool for people to balance their own games, like how some people remove the Iwo Jima bonus or make their bombers cost 15.
