the battle calc says I should have gotten out with around 5.5-6 units and you with 1-1.5 or so units on average (should all planes). But with 4 planes for me and 9 for you, a 10 plane advantage from the average, and a completely non-existent allied force in the Atlantic, not sure I can recover from losing that bad. We’ll see but I suspect it will be a short game

In a broader scope, I tend to concentrate power in a few centers and work from there, and you do an excellent job weaving between those centers. This is particularly problematic with the allies as you’ve now got an income advantage. I’ve got to learn to spread my units out better to project power in more places.
You were quite unlucky there, first only doing 1 dmg on the ab and then with positive odds Germany and Italy defended fiercely. I agree that the situation for the Allies looks very grim now.
It’s interesting what you say about projecting power. I feel my weak point is particularly maximizing pressure at certain focal points when need be. I spread out my power too much, trying to accomplish several goals at the same time. Wonderful when it works, but also might be the road to catastrophe when none or too few of those goals can be fulfilled.
An example of a player who is excellent at focusing power at specific locations is @Ghostglider. I’m often flabbergasted at how much strength he manages to mobilize and will try to learn from it.
