you could try some of the altrenate set ups. Also triplea has a game called napoleonic empires that is a FFA. It seems pretty popular

hi all. im buying the Historical Board Gaming global map, but i have a couple of questions. is their a cheaper way to get different units for neutral countries? or for countries like poland and the low countries? also, what about roundles? and is their a simpler version of the rules? b/c most people in my gaming group think the current rules are more than enough.

you can use older models for some of the other nations. Pieces from A&AP or A&AE would work, although there are no tac bombers or CA’s.
The pieces from the original game might work well too, but they are missing many units.
