Thank you very much for the game! Your early play in the Pacific was IMPRESSIVE! The best I have ever seen. In fact, due to you, I have now changed my J1 opening to counter your great play.
I was behind early due to your Pacific play and luckily for me the Russian’s couldn’t shoot with a darn. That helped me stay in the game until I could use my centralized position to pull it out. Without the Russians poor shooting I am sure I would have lost.

I feel i had decent control in the pacific up to when India went down. I considered moving out to Burma, but ended up staying and taking many of the DEI so India would come with a price, but it is just temporary.
The big problem is I could never get a foothold in europe. I had Norway for a couple f rounds and I put pressure on Berlin for a few rounds. I had up to 30% on Berlin one round and I REALLY considered that. I thought this pressure could give some room for Russia, but they did not capitalize on it. I think maybe the attck on the italian stack was wrong, but for sure it is wrong when it turned out to be a disaster, Maybe that attack actually cost me Moscow. But it is nice to not have any can openeres. As for the big attack with the russians that is probably wrong too but you are kind of generous to give me a 20-25% chance at it. If I win it is not good for you with my big stack in the middle east
I should have landed in Greece at leat two rounds earlier but that silly Italian destroyer created a lot of problems. I should see this coming and I could have taken it out with USA the round after it was build.
At the end of the day I lost the game because I was never able to apply enough pressure in 110 or keep Norway. So you defended this excellent

And one more thing, why do you just give away your italian fleet early on? Was that just a blunder?

A few things come to mind regarding your early Pacific play. You left the US fighter in Guam. It was surprising how difficult that was to kill so I left it alone. I lost a transport because of that and it helped hold Yunnan as did the 3 ANZAC fighters.
I lost another transport off Malaya because I didn’t want your fleet to take the Caroline Islands. That may have been an error on my part.
You also sacrificed 4 transports to take all the islands on one Turn. At the time I thought that was a mistake but the loss of income for Japan and the gain for the Allies, as it took two Turns to take it all back, made it worthwhile.
The best thing was your use of the UK mechanized infantry to retake Kwantung. That definitely stung. Japan was on the ropes. If you hadn’t switched to going against Europe for that one Turn to get fighters to Moscow they would never have come back.
As for the Italian fleet I wanted to try and keep you out of SZ97 as long as possible to avoid convoy disruption. My experience has been the UK comes with such a big navy they wipe out the Italians anyway plus do convoy disruption if you fight from SZ97. I figured killing a couple of UK ships was worth it as that would delay any move against SZ97 for a bit. Unfortunately, I rolled bad. I had a 63% chance of getting two hits. Killing only one was disappointing. However, I did get that second ship though I had to risk the 50% chance of losing a plane. Luckily you missed too. Plus, I wanted to keep you from taking out Cyprus.
