@FlyingBadger I am starting another game as the Allies against a friend of mine. I planned to place the exact the same bid as against you. I now realised that I did not place my bid correctly and against the rules: I placed both the facory and a tank in Egypt, whereas you can only place one item per territory. I intended to and should have placed it in Alexandria. But when looking at the hostory, it does not make a difference: The tank went to Tobruk in turn 1, and it could also have gone there from Alexandria :innocent:

@martin Sorry, but I don’t think the Destroyer move into SZ6 is allowed until USA-Japan is at war. We Japanese are a peaceful people and are not at all considering an sneak attack on any of your territories…

@flyingbadger I didn’t notice your initial remark. Is it maybe a bug of TripleA that it allows for that move? I guess you are right then. Could you please edit it to the sub next to Australia?

@FlyingBadger I just checked, and it is weird. TripleA would not allow for the American boat to move to SZs 36, 20, 32, and 19 but to 6, 17, 22, 33, and 34… It must be a bug or badly programmed then.

@martin Yeah, I think TripleA shouldn’t allow it, I think it does lock the movement of US ships in the Atlantic to only those allowed, but not the Pacific. Maybe there’s some reason it couldn’t be implemented, apparently the XML for the TripleA maps is a bit of a bugger to amend.

@flyingbadger Made an edit. Rather than move 2 Inf and 2 Art from Kiangsi to Kwangsi, I only move 1 Inf and 1 Art and pick the others up in SZ20 during non-combat with the transport from SZ36 which hadn’t moved previously, and place them in FIC. Hope that’s okay.

With the ANZAC DOW, the Pacific theatre has forced me to learn a lot about the politics of G40. Particularly what triggers loss/gain of objectives (like taking FIC) and what brings the US into the war and what doesn’t. Also how it can affect loading transports… :shrug:
I got myself into a right muddle trying to load troops onto that transport because of the UK destroyer, but I just need to wait until the combat was resolved and then move them during non-combat. I really should only make combat moves during the combat phase but I worry I’ll forget by the time I get to non-combat and not know which transports are suposed to be doing what!

@flyingbadger I also do non-combats during the combat phase for the exact same reason: not to forget about them. It is not really following the rules, but it doesn’t harm your opponent. It is the opposite: In case you need to ask your opponent for a decision, e.g. for scrambling, the opponent has an advantage when he/she already knows about your non-combats when taking the scrambling decision.
