@elrood You wisely chose the weakest targets, with a cav and inf, giving you a high probability. But small battles can vary wildly from averages. Once the initial round or two turned negative, you should have cut your losses. Or stayed only as long as the dice were in your favor. Or retreated after killing one defender. There are no good targets for Arabia. Bedouin strength is its defense. Just trading units is not to your advantage, as in losing a unit with defense of 2 to kill a unit with attack of 1. Ultimately, Arabia will be wiped out. In my other active game, I’m just sitting in Hejaz, building up a massive force that will defend the capital when Turkey moves in force into Arabia.

@fmerwinrommel you are probably right. But arabia feels so inconsequentiell and ridiculous, i was hoping to put a small dent into axis attack plan and dont just turtle and wait for he inevitable end.

Also Horse and Inf have attack 1 on paper, yes but often attack with art support…

Really wanted to sink the CAs and 2 tt’s off Ger E Afr. Even odds but my sub had first strike so potentially better odds. I missed round 1 but allies hit 1. Round 2 my sub hit but computer AI gave Brits 2 dice. One should not have fired back due to first strike. It was okay since the first die hit. We’ll have to watch out in future battles for that. I noticed in battle calc that it didn’t account for first strike, as showed by win, lose and draw % in a simulation with a sub and CA. With first strike should only be winner or loser.

The gas attack didn’t work correctly either. Gas against Warsaw should have attacked only 1 round but kept firing every round. It missed first round. Missed second round, so no effect. Hit on 3rd round, but other attackers scored more hits than remaining defenders, so also didn’t matter. Gas wasn’t automatically removed. Please edit it out of Warsaw on France’s turn.

Fra gas attack in Belg fired in round 2 and hit. It should have suicided at end of round 1. What do the rest of you think? In the “notes” pull down text under features, it says “gas rules” suicides after one round of attack. Will have to look at prior 1914 games.

@fmerwinrommel yes . It only attacks once . I think I was in shock as both the Bomatdment and the Gas missed ar 4 amd you hit me . I went a second round, stupidly, losing my Ft.
Might be a since if us has a different version of AAA. That has been happening with the newer version, if someone else has a different one.

@witt Look at my game #36754 Austria turn 2: Dawg attacked E Poland with 13 gas and they were removed by the computer after the first round.

Regarding battle in Belgium, please disallow your gas hit in round 2 and restore Germ inf. Or, if you wish, since this is a friendly game, I’ll let you cancel round 2 altogether and restore my inf and your fighter.
